We keep in mind that recycling is only a short-term solution to redirect plastic from landfills or oceans; a way to reuse plastic that has already been made and to reduce the demand for new plastic to be produced. Our long-term goal is to move away from the use of plastic, but small steps like these can lead to big change.

Reusing containers is one of the most effective and inexpensive ways to reduce the environmental impact of single use plastics.
Plastic bags account for about 7% of the 10,730 tonnes of waste sent to landfill each day in Hong Kong. An estimated 46 million single-use plastics are disposed of every week in Hong Kong. Due to busy lifestyles, convenience and further complications from COVID-19; plastic utensils, containers, bags and bottles create an enormous amount of thrown away plastic.
